Life as an Anderson

Jordan and I are coming up on our 3 month anniversary! And some might think it's silly to keep track of the months, but to me everyday is a special one. Our bishop said in church last Sunday that sometimes older people condemn younger couples of not really knowing what love is. He disagreed and said that he admires the way we treasure everyday with our new spouse, to the point that we might tell you exactly how many months, days, or even hours we've been together. Marriage is a gift that I hold dear in my heart. I have learned so much from my sweetheart and am so grateful I have the rest of eternity with him. So here is what we've been up to the last 3 months of our marriage, and I can't wait to see what new adventures the future holds in store.

We went to Jackson Hole to visit some art galleries and saw the beautiful Teton Mountains.

Took a hike to the wind caves.

Stayed at the Palisades with Jordan's family to float down the rapids.

Celebrated Jordan's 22 birthday.

Tennis date.

Finally got my wisdom teeth out. My sweet husband took such great care of me.

Shotgun shooting with friends.

My in-laws came up to visit Jordan's work he does landscaping in the summer.

First day of school as a married couple!

My 22nd birthday. My amazing husband, family, and friends made it the best!

Shooting with my brother and hubby over conference weekend.

Can't forget our yummy conference cookies!

Cute kiddos :)

Our Little Haven

All little girls dream of the cute little apartment they would one day live in with their true love. And now I'm living that dream. We were blessed to discover this place through one of Jordan's friends at work. When we first looked at it we were sold. We didn't even have to look at any other apartments. Jordan and I just knew this was the place for us. There are many perks to this little apartment. Here are just a few.

-It is cheaper than most places here in Rexburg
-It is only a block away from the Spori (the art building) Mine and Jordan's other home :)
-We live right across from the Plasma center, a regular source of income for us newlyweds
-We have a beautiful view of the temple from our bedroom window
-We have wooden floors that allow our rolley chairs to roam freely about
-Free internet
-Our married student ward is the greatest!
-We live on Main Street, so we get the hustle and bustle of traffic which reminds Jordan of Boston
-And my favorite part...the adorable built in wall shelf that I get to decorate!

When we first arrived here, there was quite a bit to fix up. And even though I was a bit grumpy at the beginning, Jordan and I worked really hard to get everything looking nice for us to move in. It was totally worth it and perfect for us to begin our lives as the Anderson's.

This is what happens when your dryer doesn't dry your clothes all the way.

View from our bedroom window

Our bedroom was once covered in hideous wallpaper and made all the plaster peel off in one place. So we had to scrape the whole wall inch my inch to re-plaster and paint. It was quite the job, but we got it done!

With the help of my amazing sweet sister, I painted the kitchen green!
