Recently Jordan and I had the opportunity to design a wedding announcement for a cute co-worker of mine. We work at a printing press on campus and when she saw that Jordan had designed our wedding announcement, she asked us if we could do hers. Not really knowing what we were getting into, we said yes! And what an experience it was! I asked the bride for some references along with a palette of her wedding colors. With some research and experimenting, I developed the design of the flowers. I drew the flowers with fine tip micron pens and painted watercolor washes over them. Once the flowers were completed, I scanned them into Photoshop and Jordan refined them and adjusted them to be her perfect colors. After finding a font that fit the style, we went to work formatting and placing the invites together. We definitely learned a lot and faced different challenges in creating the perfect design for the bride, but with some hard work and dedication it turned out nicely and she was very happy with the final product.We were happy too and are excited for her to send them out to her guests.
