I've opened a new chapter in my life and so I decided to wipe my blog clean and start fresh. My last blog was just about my art experiences, but now that I'm a newlywed and a growing artist my heart desires to write about so much more. I feel like life is a unique piece of art in itself and I want to share that with others. Life goes too quickly not to write it down and so here goes! First here is a little about us. Here's how we began and where we are now.
I'll begin with describing a little about how Jordan and I met. I first laid eyes on him sophomore year in high school as I was paired with him and another guy for a biology assignment. I don't remember much except for that I was worried that as the only girl, I would be doing all the work. In the end though, Jordan pulled through and did his part of the assignment :) The next time I would interact with Jordan wasn't until senior year. I remember first hearing from a friend about his friend, Jordan, who was in AP art and a painter. Art being a passion and interest of mine, I immediately became drawn to meeting this kid. Throughout senior year we spent time together at high school sporting events, different dates, and even senior prom.

But it wasn't until after graduation that I really fell for Jordan. During that summer we went to Lake Powell and I ended up breaking my wrist on the first day out on the lake. Needless to say I came home and had to receive my first surgery. I was a wreck and Jordan seemed to be the only one who really cared and supported me through the entire ordeal.
After that I realized what a great friend I truly had. Jordan had been called a few months previous to serve in the Boston, Massachusetts Mission and was scheduled to leave in late August. I only had a few weeks left, but I made it a point to spend every minute I could with him. We had our first kiss four days before he left and then hew as off to the MTC.
Over the two years we wrote pretty faithfully. I also had a lot of great experiences at BYU-Idaho dating many great people and having fun with roommates. I really didn't know what to expect in my future, but I had faith in my patriarchal blessing that one day I would be married to someone who could take me to the temple and love me forever.
Before I knew it the two years were up and Jordan was coming home. Jordan had decided to come to BYU-Idaho and during his first semester he had the opportunity to date a lot of great girls. in the end we decided to give it a try together and by March, Jordan was asking my dad permission to marry me. Our engagement felt like forever but I couldn't be happier of where I am today. I married my best friend who can always make me laugh, is such a hard worker, a strong member of the church, and so darn handsome!! I'm so grateful I get to spend the rest of eternity with him.
So there you have it! We're the Andersons and we are truly thrilled to begin this great adventure together!
